Cholos Growing up in present-day Los Angeles, I invariably believed that cholos were just a bunch of dead beats that were simply bullies to others because they were too lazy to digest a job and quarter a decent living for themselves. However, with time and education, I intentional that, for the most part, I was wrong and that there was a dower more to it; different sides of the story. I learned that, like everything else, there is a history and an origin behind those who we identify as cholos, which was initially used to refer to drunken men that hung reveal around missions in the 1790s asking for work. Today, all over the country, alone Los Angeles, California in particular, Latino gangsters struggle everyday against educational, political, frugal and personal problems and expectations. Moreover, without a major reformation of neighborhoods, laws, education and umpteen other factors, the issue of Latino gangsters will persist or possibly get even worse. The dilemma of Latino gangsters, specifically Chicanos, goes all the way back to the time California, amongst other Union Mexican states, were taken away from Mexico by the United States in 1847. However, to be brief, Chicano gangsters were more conscientiously pointed out during the Zoot oblige Riots of 1943.

The Zoot Suit Riots erupted in Los Angeles, California during World War II, between uninfected sailors and Marines stationed throughout the city and Latino youths, who were discerned by the Zoot suits they wore.
