DMitri Marshall 2/24/11 African-American History Prof. Woods Kebuka During the first chapter of Kebuka Mr. Baruti explained the beginnings of our ancestors enslavement. passim the whole chapter he kept asking the reader to carry the time and think back on everything and imagine how our pack were being brutally punished for no wrongdoing. In the chapter he explained the Afrikan genocide as either Maafa or Hellacaust which he explains differently from the Jewish holocaust. He points bring out a holocaust is when i race or nationality takes out another race or nationality, which means it was not a Jewish holocaust because two sides were European. In fact, it means that the killings were a Jewish genocide because it was through internally during World War II. He besides points out that six million Jews were kil direct, a unyielding with thousands of Afrikans, compared to the 280 million Afrikans murdered during the three hundred years of slavery. Mr. Baruti also explains that it is only right for one to set back and remember the suffering only if you desire to touch on in on your history. He also states that to remember that you estimable have to imagine yourself there and feel for our ancestors because this was done to us for absolutely no reason at all.

He also says that we need to come back and realize if we are lifetime the way our ancestors were living before this was done to us. In this chapter Mr. Baruti explained barely what coffle lines were and how Afrikans were treated during these death marches. In the chapter coffle lines were explained as lines of Afrikans fettered together by hands and feet walking distances as long as a thousand miles without food, water, and even sleep nevertheless to get to the seashore in order to be led to slavery. He also explains during these long walks that many men, women, and children were pillaged by drivers of the lines in the form of gang rape.
