I would like to discuss the causes and treatment(s) of schizophrenia. I will be discussing the areas of the brain, causal factors, associated symptoms, the neural basis, and appropriate medicate therapies that deal with the associated psychological disorder of schizophrenia. I will in addition be analyzing two case studies that deal with Anorexia and Insomnia.
Schizophrenia is the malady that is most commonly associated with the concept of madness and attacks about 1% of individuals of all races and cultural groups, typically beginning in adolescence or early adulthood. The major difficulty in studying and treating schizophrenia is accurately defining it. Schizophrenia symptoms are complex and versatile; they overlap greatly with those of other psychiatric disorders, and they frequently smorgasbord during the progression of the disorder.
