Atticus Finch was a soldiery who fought for what he believed in. What he believed in was justice; the quality of world comme il faut and reasonable. He is an influence on me for mainly that reason. In To use up A Mockingbird, Atticus Finch played Scouts begetter and a lawyer; a good one at that.
Racism was not a thing of Atticus and he raised his children alone to feel the same way. Atticus took on a case of a black earthly concern verses a white man; however, he knew that a black man will not win against a white man if a white man is calling the shots. He knew this well. Nevertheless, Atticus refused to give up soul totaly because he strongly believed in all men being created equal. Atticus taught me that equality comes first.

You can pick up on his lessons and learn that you should always fight hard for the truth, neer give up, and do not ever lose your self-assertion; lessons I will carry throughout my own excursion in life.
