Cold war ideology and policies
It is impossible to identify a time when the Cold War broke out.   After 1945, a series of clashes and misunderstandings meant that the ideological differences widened more and more into open hostility.
Democracies in the westward included the United States, Britain, and France. These countries already distrusted Russia before WWII. And after both the aggression by the German, the west made alliance with the Russians to promise the makeup of military strength by the Germans.
It was after WWII that Russians build up its military strength and its foreign influence over their neighbors in order to prevent a possibly of devastation to their military. In the hope if not making the same mistakes and to prevent a repeat of the extremism that started WWII. Lead by the US learns the west began to build up strong economies.
These differing ideologies formed the basis of the Cold War, and degage the temporary wartime alliances into Communism vs. the West.





The late 1940s to the early fifties was a time when US-Soviet relations deteriorated rapidly. While Roosevelt believed that Soviet-occupied territories would be allowed to finalise their own fate with free elections, Trumans suspicions quickly became true as most of East Europe fell behind the weigh Curtain by 1947.

I believe the policies for the cold war was put in place to give aid to those landed estate that was fighting communism, and to help the financially so that they could build up their military this was the major focus for international for America in that period.
