I began construe the genre of little stories, poems and plays in our text to give all literary works a chance to capture my imagination. I liked some of them to include the play The Proposal, which was farce only this short story stole my heart. I ounce experient this sort of racial discrimination and this story heated an emeritus flame of desire to fight against this sort of ignorance. The tone of this short story spoke to me and expressed emotions that felt me feeling authorise to enforce change. Analyzing The Welcome dining table by Alice Walker by the reader response approach allowed me to use my imagination and pay heed the ambiguity of judgment casted unjustly against a race sort of than a woman in need (Clungston, 2010).
The Welcome Table by Alice Walker actually captured my attention by her shelter or opening statement of walking and talk with the Nazarene and shouting troubles. The main statement that caught me was Tell God how you airiness me. It brought a troubled image to my mind of my personal mistreatment as a child.



Shouting out my troubles over walking and talking with Jesus was a metaphor to me as I oblige struggled with my own religious beliefs even though I did non literally shout or walk with Jesus. However I did in my imagination, my heart and my soul (Clungston, 2010).
When I was a immature child, I was raised in a southern Baptist church building building that I loved until one horrific day. I went to church with my Mimi, grandmother, but had invited four of my African American friends. It was not until a few weeks later that I learned they were told not to come back and that their kind was not welcomed.
