A Walk to Remember is an American romance story that was made to show us some different things. The main idea is that no matter whom we be and what we have done, our past does not dictate our future. Through the trials of your conduct you are guaranteed to face hard times, but that does not cogitate that you will not succeed. It also shows us that e rattling behavior may at one point go saturnine course, and in this time you have to make a decision. The counterbalance main character we see in this story is Landon Carter. Landon is your natural bad boy He is basically one of the leaders of the popular groups in his high school. No one dares to smother with him or talk him down, because he would ruin them if they had tried. Landon had so often power, and he knew it, so he used it to his advantage. His character is very carefree, and only looks out for his own selfish ambitions. You see all of this in the first scene of the story, where Landon is introduced. It was a late shadow after a high school dance in a little town in North Carolina. The strain is on a group of defiant teenagers trying to steerer another teen into jumping off a span for his initiation in the popular click.



Everyone meets up at the straddle for their tormenting entertainment. Little did they know that their idea would turn against them real quickly. As the boy jumps off the bridge the foolish teens all jest and clap for him. Then they realize the boy had hit a rock. Landon tries to save him, but then sees the police, and kinda decides to run from them instead of taking care of the hurt boy. This shows you how haphazard they truly are. Although Landon runs from the cops he still gets caught, and is severely punished for it. In the next scene it shows Landon speaking to Cynthia, which is his mother.
